The Teacup Terrier:
Depending on the actual breed, like the
Yorkie Terrier or the Silky Terrier, you may not want to get something
any smaller then the actual breed has.
For instance, if you wanted a teacup
Yorkshire Terrier, you may not realize that these little dogs are
already so small, they really are pretty teacup as far as terriers go.
The teacup terrier breeds sell for
between $500.00 to upwards of $5,000! My goodness they are so tiny. I've
seen pictures of them inside an actual teacup, yep, terriers in a
teacup. Imagine that!
Well, personally, I'd like to sway you
from encouraging this type of small breeding process. Terriers like that
of the Yorkshire and Silky Terrier are already pretty small, weighing in
at about 10-15 lbs.
Smaller than that and you're risking a
lot of problems. Goodness, you might step on your tiny teacup terrier by
accident, or roll over on them during the night!
Please consider the regular size breed.
If you really want to play around with size, consider beanie babies. ;)
They don't cry or break when they are stepped on or accidentally kicked.
